NO LIMITS EDUCATIONAL CENTER

Due to the high cost of private speech therapy, even average-income families cannot afford the training their child desperately needs. It typically costs between $75 and $100 an hour for private speech lessons. A parent has few or no places to go as resources at public school are seriously deficient. No Limits works with the students from public schools and gives each child 4 hours a week after school hours allowing them to improve their oral language and academics. The Center offers the following programs:

AUDITORY SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PROGRAM
To meet the needs of each student at No Limits, the student receives 1 hour of individual auditory speech and language therapy twice a week by a certified teacher of the deaf. On Saturdays, the students work toward reinforcing the goals in the individual classes as well as concentrate on developing excellent public speaking skills and boundless confidence based on its renowned and revolutionary theatrical techniques.

LITERACY PROGRAM
No Limits has incorporated a bi-weekly literacy program focused on teaching children to read in order to assist the public schools in improving children’s reading, writing and academic skills.

PARENT EDUCATION
Many families come to No Limits with limited knowledge of hearing loss. No Limits provides parent education courses on a variety of topics to keep parents informed about public schools, their child’s development and current technology. No Limits also provides each family with a care package that includes all necessary accessories to maintain their hearing devices along with formal and written instruction in English and Spanish.
