The No Limits Speech and Language Center is located in a 4,500 square foot facility in Culver City, Ca, thanks to a generous donation from J.P. Morgan Chase. This kid friendly space includes themed rooms, board games, costumes, arts and crafts, toys, and books. The center is run by our accomplished staff and talented speech and language therapists.

With public schools struggling to provide the necessary resources and private speech lessons priced over $75 per hour, parents often find themselves with few or no places to go for help. No Limits reaches out to these families and provides each child with four hours of free therapy a week. Children and their families join us at the center after school hours to improve oral language and academic skills.

The Center offers the following programs:

AUDITORY SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PROGRAM

To meet the needs of each child at No Limits, all children receive one hour of individual auditory speech and language therapy twice a week. This therapy is taught by a certified teacher of the deaf. On Saturdays the students work toward reinforcing the goals of their individual classes. Following academic tutoring No Limits kids focus on public speaking skills and self confidence by integrating the tools of our renowned theatrical techniques.

LITERACY PROGRAM

In addition to oral language skills, No Limits is committed to improving literacy in every child. Partnered with the public school system, No Limits has incorporated a bi-weekly literacy program focused on teaching children how to read. Reading skills benefit children in their everyday life as well as in writing, creativity, and academics.

PARENT EDUCATION

Many families come to No Limits with limited knowledge of hearing loss. No Limits provides parent education courses on a variety of topics to keep parents informed about public schools, their child's development and current technology. No Limits also provides each family with a care package that includes all necessary accessories to maintain their hearing devices along with formal and written instruction in English and Spanish.

Graduation

The Graduation Ceremony is a key component of the Center's work as it gives a goal to which the students can aspire and allows the families, students and greater community to celebrate the student's accomplishments.

During the ceremony each child delivers a graduation speech, recites a poem and tongue twister, sings a song and proudly declare their goals and dreams.
